Visionary Landscapes
So my allergies have completely fucked me over and now I am a total mess surviving on saline drops and some medication. I can not go on like this.

I've decided not to return to college to complete my Ph.D. because I was going through my university books and notes from the classes, and realized how much of what I've learnt I have forgotten by now. I also think I may have lost my diploma, because I went through all my documents and couldn't find it anywhere. So I guess this is bye bye to my advanced degree.

Instead I could work to perfect my Spanish, or take lessons in some new language I've been wanting to learn--French, German, Italian, or Norwegian. It could prove fun, and it'll certainly be useful at some point in the future.

I shouldn't forget my physical health either. I'm too lazy for a gym, but I could go running, or exercise at home more regularly and get myself into better shape. I'm working on 50 pushups, but right now my triceps are screaming bloody murder. I think that's quite pathetic. But I'll keep trying.

Also, there are some great upcoming concerts that I'm really looking forward to--David Sylvian will perform on October 15, and there are rumours about Diary of Dreams (OMG DOD!) coming in November, which is enough to send my body into orgasmic overload. This autumn definitely seems promising.

Sorry folks, nothing more interesting for this entry; but here's a pretty pic to divert your attention:

I saw David Sylvian in Birmingham last week on this tour. Utterly utterly superb. I will forever be in love with that man. You'll have a lovely time. :)

Ouch, allergies! Can't you get a doctors prescription for a long boat journey? :) The best spring I ever had was when I was doing "fieldwork" on a research boat in the Arctic ocean when the birch trees were spreading their pollen everywhere. We didn't get far from the shores until I started to notice how easy breathing was, and totally without the sideeffects from antihistamines :)

Good luck on your ph.d., what's your subject?

I have master's degree in anthropology. I got it a few years ago, and I've been thinking about continuing my education further and pursuing a Ph.D., but after a careful consideration I gave up on the idea. I don't really need a Ph.D. since I'm not working as an anthropologist anyway, so why bother?

Oh gods, I need to move to Norway, like, right now! I can only imagine the pleasure of cool Arctic air filling my lungs... :)

hehehe. Is that a pic of you? If so, you're adorable! A few of my cute male friends would think so too ;) You look to be in good shape but exercise is great for mind, body, and spirit. Try to make time for an early jog or something, it makes alll the difference in a day!

If you lost your diploma, call the school and request a new one..at the least it will cost you like 20$ -I think. I think you should improve your Russian ;) That's just me though :P

David Sylvian is quite a handsome gent indeed...

Yes, it's a pic of me (I wouldn't just throw a pic of some random guy into the post without explanation LOL), and thank you. :) I've already posted a few of my pics in earlier posts. I may look fit, but I don't have the greatest physical condition, so I should work on that.

And yes, Russian... It's a shame that I'm not fluent in the language of my forefathers. Definitely should work on that too.

IMAO random guy!! For some reason this is the first time I've seen a pic of you..odd.

I don't know what it is about the Russian language but...I could literally just listen to a man speak that alll night and be in heaven. It is not one of the "romantic" languages but..I beg to differ in the literal sense..it's a very flowing smooth language, nothing like German or Arabic!

I noticed that Serbian and Russian are a little alike, certain words. Probably because it is so close by...

Hola!
Mi nuevo amigo!
I see that you wrestle with allergies as well, I recommend the Neti Pot or one of the several similar ones out on the market.
It has done wonders for me. I have used mine for over 10 years,
and I a can assure you it has cut down my allergy reaction quite a bit.looking forward to getting to know you.

Hey, that sounds like a good deal to me! I always loved French language, it sounds very sensual. :D Last year before I traveled to Paris I've learned some French phrases, and no one there seemed to notice that I'm a foreigner. Well, until that one time when I said croassan instead of au revoir. :)

He, he, random guy waves at you!... :D
